Youth Lead at YTH Live: An Interview With Emcees Past and Present

At YTH, we work in partnership with young people to advance health and support them as leaders in their communities. What better way to empower young leaders than to make them the face of YTH Live, the youth + tech + health conference?

We’re thrilled to have YTH Youth Advisory Board (YAB) member Muluba Habanyama as emcee for YTH Live 2016! At last year’s conference, Anthony Sis, a former YAB member and current member of our board of directors, broke new ground as the first youth emcee at YTH Live, along with moderating breakout sessions and engaging attendees.

Anthony and Muluba came together and discussed what it’s like to be emee, and Anthony shared some tips on how to prepare. Watch the full video conversation between Muluba and Anthony below.

Giving the emcee role at our conference to youth leaders is just one of the ways that we put young people front and center at YTH Live. The conference is a fantastic opportunity for educators, researchers, advocates, and providers to learn from young people directly. If you haven’t yet registered for YTH Live, hurry and get your tickets now!
