The YTH Live 2018 Program Committee is a diverse group of technology experts, health professionals, and youth leaders who designed a cutting-edge conference.

 

Nicole Ippoliti

Nicole IppolitiNicole is a design strategist and adolescent sexual and reproductive health specialist at YLabs. Nicole brings extensive experience​ designing and implementing ​global ​adolescent ​programming ​focused on behavioral and social norm change. Nicole’s area of expertise include ​sexual and reproductive health, HIV, and digital health​. She has lived and worked in Central America, southeast Asia, and sub-Saharan Africa. Nicole has a Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina Gillings School of Global Public Health​.

Charity Rose

Charity RoseCharity Rose is a trans non-binary individual with a passion for providing wellness and care for those who would otherwise be unable to attain. With 8 years of non-profit management experience, they were looking to grow professionally in a space where they could be seen and understood.
They began working in transgender healthcare when they started their position as the Director of Transgender Community Engagement Gender Confirmation Center of San Francisco. They work in collaboration with top surgeon Dr. Scott Mosser on a variety of trans health improvement projects.
It has been perfect combination of finding safety for themself and being able to extend it to others in the community.
They are honored to have the privilege to extend their knowledge of trans healthcare and wellness in order to shed light upon issues affecting the community today.

Iman Shervington

Iman ShervingtonIman Shervington is the Director of Media & Communications at the Institute of Women & Ethnic Studies. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Southern California in International Relations and a Masters of Fine Arts in Film from Columbia University. At IWES, Iman has created over 50 short films and PSAs, a web-series, and two feature-length films, which have screened in local, national, and international film festivals. She has also spearheaded and designed two social marketing campaigns and presented at over ten conferences to showcase her work. Recently Iman led the development of a public will campaign to advocate for more Trauma Informed Care services for traumatized youth in New Orleans. In 2016 she was selected as a participant in Spitfire’s Executive Training Program, and was selected as a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) Culture of Health Leader in its inaugural cohort. Iman also received the New Orleans-based Millennial Award in the Changemaker category that year. In 2017, Iman was selected to attend the Aspen Ideas Festival as a scholar through RWJF, as well. Besides her media and program work, Iman also oversees all of IWES’ social media accounts and communications and has further experience in graphic design, photography, focus group facilitation, positive youth development, participatory action research, and media literacy.

Janani Krishnaswamy

Janani KrishnaswamyJanani hails from Calgary, Canada, and is now based in the Bay Area. A computer scientist by training, she served as a Program Manager at Microsoft for 4 years, prior to 3 years in management consulting at McKinsey & Company and Keystone Strategy. She currently works at Google as a Strategy and Operations lead for YouTube and in her spare time enjoys anything outdoors – hiking, biking, running or sitting on the beach. She holds a BS in computer science and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Jasmine Getrouw-Moore

Jasmine Getrouw-MooreJasmine Getrouw-Moore is a passionate public health educator, Social Determinants of Health Conveyor, Health Disparities Slayer, & Social Marketing Maven. Jasmine applies health education competencies to every aspect of her life: serving as a resource person, assessing needs, planning programs (community health solutions and processes), implementing these plans and evaluating outcomes of the proposed plan. Jasmine’s professional expertise has been scaffolded by maternal and child health education with a focus on implementing community health education programs to reduce health disparities amongst North Carolinians. Jasmine is a thrice trained Anti-Racism organizer (Crossroads Anti-Racism Training, Crossroads Advanced Organizer Training, Racial Equity Institute Anti-Racism Training) and public sector personnel trainer, focusing on reducing implicit bias amongst public health personnel. Jasmine is committed to using innovative approaches for addressing systemic health inequities which have historically impacted marginalized women and children in North Carolina. Jasmine’s
maternal and child health education “toolbox” includes childbirth education, prenatal parenting education, Safe Sleep education, life skills education for adolescents and positive parenting education. You can find Jasmine utilizing her “toolbox,” leveraging digital tools to shift health behaviors and increase access to resources for persons across the state of North Carolina. Jasmine received her Bachelor of Science in Public Health Education from UNC – Greensboro and her Master of Public Administration from DePaul University.

Joshua O’Neal

Joshua O'NealJoshua O’Neal earned an M.A. in Human Sexuality from San Francisco State University, with additional degrees in Community Psychology and Sociology. Joshua currently works at the director sexual health services for the San Francisco AIDS Foundation, which includes a collective of sexual health and PrEP programs throughout San Francisco. Joshua also instructs sexuality related courses for City College of San Francisco. Joshua advocates for and works closely with queer communities, trans-individuals, substance users and sex workers within public health, community-based and medical settings. His professional and academic work have been presented and published in state epidemiology reports, the Journal of Clinical Virology, the Journal of AIDS, and Springer Journal’s Current HIV/AIDS reports, Gay Men’s Health Summit, as well as National & State HIV Prevention and Sexual Health Conferences.

Kelly L’Engle

Kelly L'EngleKelly L’Engle, PhD, MPH, began her public health career by providing HIV prevention and substance abuse counseling to adolescents and young adults in San Francisco. She returned to school for the MPH and later the PhD to learn how to more effectively address health in the U.S. and globally. Kelly is expert in developing, testing, and evaluating behavioral health interventions and communications, and loves the promise of using new technologies to increase the reach and impact of health programs by meeting young people where they are at and when they need it most. Kelly joined the faculty in the School of Nursing and Health Professions at the University of San Francisco in 2015. She previously worked with FHI 360, the University of North Carolina, and Porter Novelli, where she built a strong track record in innovative research and programming to promote health, particularly among young people and at-risk populations.

Parteek Singh

Parteek SinghParteek Singh is a fresh graduate from University Of California Davis, currently working in Investment Banking. Besides working full time, Parteek spends his time helping college students increase emergency contraceptive accessibility on their campuses. He has been working with students from over twenty universities across the nation and looking forward to expanding the project. While at Davis, Parteek advocated for better sexual health resources and was successful in increasing free HIV testing services and getting an emergency contraceptive vending machine. Parteek loves traveling, he had the opportunity to attend the 2016 International AIDS conference in South Africa. And Amsterdam is his favorite city.
